Natalia,
Semi-Senior Accountant

Do you remember your first day at PS?

Yeah, I still remember how stressed I was on my first day – it was a first “serious” job for me, so the stress was definitely there. I was nervous, worrying about how I will do, whether others would like me and whether my supervisors would be satisfied with my work.

I also remember being formally introduced to the employees at the open space. Back then there were far fewer employees than now, and it used to be customary to greet everyone separately and introduce yourself, which also made me quite tense.

However, in retrospect, I totally see that all the nerves were completely unnecessary. All the members of the group welcomed me with open arms, and I felt better straight away.

You’ve been working at PS for over 4 years now. During this time, you’ve managed to progress from the staff assistant post to semi-senior accountant. How have your responsibilities changed along the way?

When I worked as a staff assistant, I definitely had more “manual” tasks, e.g., scanning and copying documents and filing them, entering all documents into accounting systems, or preparing VAT registers. As time went by and I was promoted to higher posts, I was gradually introduced to the Clients’ companies, their business models and got to experience direct contact with the Clients’ representatives.

Currently, most of my time is spent on analysing individual cases in our cooperation with Clients, checking CIT and VAT calculations, preparing financial statements and, if need be, assisting in audit procedures.

Due to my semi-senior position, my duties also include managing the team now. I try my best to observe how each assistant or accountant performs their tasks, so that their accounting and tax knowledge can be constantly expanded and there’s not too much of routine in their daily work. ????

What do you value most about working at PS?

I believe that the greatest asset of PS are the people working here. There really is a great atmosphere in the office – makes you want to come to work. Everyone is nice and helpful to each other; I’ve never had a situation where someone refused to advise or lend a hand.

The managers and partner are wonderful, and you can come to them with any problem no matter how big or small.

I also appreciate the possibility of gaining experience and knowledge from cooperating with clients of diverse business profiles and fields – you really can learn a lot in an outsourcing company such as PS.

What’s your best memory associated with working here?

Probably the consecutive promotions. ???? But in all seriousness, I think one of my best memories is simply my first day working at PS, despite all the nerves – because of the nice reception I got form the team.

Of course, I can’t leave out the team-building meetings and work outings either, as they’re always fun. I look back especially fondly at the treasure hunt during our 10th anniversary of the Polish office. ????

What do you like to do in your free time?

I really enjoy long walks. I’m still studying, so I don’t have that much of free time, but I try my best to catch up on my reading as well. And of course, relaxing with a film on Netflix is always a good option too. ????
